A: In Recent conversations this was the most talked about, so I did my research. Based on what was found, it shows that if the UK were to leave the European Union a lot of things like National Security for one would be a major impact on the UK. Another would be longer traveling process and the economy may pose a threat to its own citizens in both local and global scale. The UK and its current state, I started to question ' what does it actually mean to be British '.
Is it the Union Jack and its oh so bright colours, the need for constantly having tea? The Royal Family? Endless means of transportation? The list goes on. Truthfully there
are many ways in which one can class themselves as British and what it actually meant.
Started to meddle with the fashion aspect of this project and decided to use the colours of the national flag as a guide for my colour swatch. Using red, white and blue for designs that can represent what its like to be British. Amongst my findings two types of styles came to mind. The modern and classic style of Afternoon tea, and the formal but casual daily look from street styles in and around Preston.
